A license key generator that actually enforces something
Anyone can print random characters. The hard part is a key that means something the moment it is used — locked to one device, expiring when you say, revocable in a click.
Keys built to be checked, not just typed
Every key is 20 random characters from a 32-character Crockford base32 alphabet that leaves out the easily confused letters I, L, O and U plus a checksum character, grouped as XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-C. That is roughly 100 bits of randomness — far beyond guessing — and the checksum lets your app catch a mistyped key before it ever calls the server.
Generate one key or five hundred
- Create up to 500 keys at once for a product, or one per order through the API.
- Choose no expiry, a fixed date, or N days after first activation — set a default per product.
- Add the customer’s e-mail and we send them the key and its validity automatically, then remind them two days before it expires.
- Export any list as CSV; spreadsheet-formula characters are neutralised for you.
Then use them
A key on its own is only a string. Foliox License ties it to a device on first use, refuses every other computer, signs every answer, and gives you a dashboard to revoke, extend or reset it. See how the whole system works.

Are the sample keys above real?
No — they only show the format. Real keys are generated inside your dashboard and are unique to your product.
Can keys be guessed or brute-forced?
With about 100 bits of randomness, guessing is not realistic, and the API rate-limits lookups per address and per key.
