About Foliox License
A hosted license key system for developers who sell their own software — built to be honest about what licensing can and cannot do.
Why it exists
Most independent developers who sell a tool, a bot or a desktop app need the same few things: a key per customer, a way to stop one key from ending up on a hundred computers, an end date, and a button to switch a leaked key off. Foliox License does exactly that as a service, so you don’t have to build and run a licensing server yourself.
What we believe
- Say what it really does. No licensing system makes software uncrackable. Signed answers, device locking and instant revocation stop casual sharing — we say so plainly and document the limits in our security model.
- Your data is yours. Products, keys and customers are private to your account. Export your keys as CSV or delete your account at any time.
- Never break shipped software. The license API your customers’ apps call is a frozen contract: every release is checked against every existing key before it goes live.
- A free plan that is actually useful. Device locking, signed responses, all four SDKs and customer e-mails are on every plan.
