Terms of Service

The terms that govern your use of Foliox License.

Last updated: October 2, 2026

These terms govern your use of Foliox License (“the service”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.

1. What the service is

Foliox License lets software developers generate license keys, bind them to devices, verify them through an API, and manage the customers who hold them. It is provided as an online service, and its features and limits are described on the pricing page.

2. Your account

  • You must give an accurate e-mail address and keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • Turn on two-factor authentication — it is available on every plan. Tell us promptly if you think your account was accessed without permission.
  • You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live.

3. Acceptable use

You may use the service to license software you have the right to distribute. You must not use it to:

  • license or distribute malware, spyware, credential stealers, or software designed to harm or deceive users;
  • break the law, or infringe someone else’s rights;
  • attack, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the service, or evade its limits or rate limits;
  • send unsolicited e-mail through the customer e-mail features.

We may suspend or remove accounts that break these rules. While an account is suspended, the license keys it issued stop validating.

4. Your customers and your data

You are responsible for the products you license, for having a lawful basis to store your customers’ e-mail addresses, and for the content of any message you send to them through the service. You keep all rights in your products and data. You can export your keys and delete your account at any time from Settings.

5. Plans and payment

  • The Free plan has no charge. Paid plans are prepaid for the period you choose (monthly or yearly) and are paid through our payment processors (Razorpay (UPI and cards) and NOWPayments (cryptocurrency)). Refunds follow our refund and cancellation policy.
  • Paid plans do not renew automatically. We send a reminder before a plan ends; if it lapses your account returns to the Free plan and nothing is deleted.
  • Prices and limits can change for future purchases. A change never reduces what you have already paid for.
  • If something goes wrong with a payment, contact us using the details on our contact page and we will look into it.

6. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service running and your data safe, but we can’t promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Client SDKs cache the last valid answer for up to 72 hours so your software keeps working through short outages. We may change or retire features with reasonable notice.

7. Honest limits of licensing

No licensing system can make software impossible to pirate; a determined person with full control of a computer can patch any program. The service raises the effort needed and stops casual sharing, but it does not guarantee that your software cannot be copied or bypassed.

8. Termination

You can stop using the service and delete your account whenever you like. We may end or suspend the service to you for breaking these terms, for abuse, or if required by law.

9. Liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before it arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Governing law and changes to these terms

These terms are governed by the laws of the country where the operator of this service is established. We may update them; if a change is significant we will tell you by e-mail or in your dashboard, and continued use after the change means you accept it.
